Research and Publications
CSA has been involved
in research in the area of ARH for long time. One of
its major activities at inception was to avail information
that could be used to design and plan interventions
to deal with adolescent and youth sexuality. CSA has
undertaken several research activities since its formation
ten years ago. Through a variety of studies, the centre
has documented the problems associated with young people
in Kenya. The Centre has collected, analysed and compiled
existing information on the various aspects of adolescent
health and development in a format that is easy to use.
This material has been
disseminated widely and has also been packaged and used
for advocacy with various groups. The fact sheets on
adolescence and youth in Kenya published annually since
1995 is a case in point. Already CSA has an impressive
collection of publications. The Centre’s experience
in areas of research and advocacy gives it an edge over
other organisations in addressing problems relating
to youth. (See Annex for list of research and publications).
